Motorized patio screen not working?

Stuck screens. Uneven travel. Damaged mesh.
Start with a photo—not a new-screen quote.

EX Design Group reviews selected motorized patio screen systems for repair and maintenance, including some we did not originally install.

Service depends on the system, parts availability and installation conditions.

Recognize the problem?

Tell us what your screen is doing.

You do not need to diagnose it yourself. A clear description helps us decide what to review next.

It won’t go up
or down.

No movement, repeated stopping, or a screen that no longer responds as expected.

It’s moving
unevenly.

One side is lower, the screen drags, or the fabric is not staying in its guide.

The mesh
is damaged.

A tear, loose edge, or visible wear. Send a close-up as well as the whole opening.

Something sounds
or feels wrong.

New noise, resistance, a control issue, or hardware that appears loose.

Already have screens?

A repair review.
Not a replacement pitch.

Whether your original installer is available or not, send us the details. We will review whether your system is one we can service.

  1. Send the basics.

A photo, city or ZIP, brand if known, approximate age and what is happening. “Brand unknown” is fine.

  2. We review the fit.

System compatibility, available parts and the installation may affect what can be done. Photos are a starting point, not a final diagnosis.

  3. Agree on the next step.

If service is appropriate, appointment availability, scope and any inspection, labor or parts charges are confirmed before work proceeds.

questions.

Can you service a screen you did not install?

We review selected systems installed by others. Please send photos and the brand if you know it. Compatibility, parts availability and installation conditions determine whether we can accept the work.

How much does a repair cost?

That depends on the system and the issue. A photo does not establish a final diagnosis or price. Any inspection, labor and parts charges will be discussed before work is authorized.

Is this covered by warranty?

Coverage depends on the applicable written warranty and the cause of the problem. Sending a request is not a warranty approval. Read the care and warranty information; project and manufacturer documents control.

Do I need to order new screens?

This page is for repair and maintenance requests. We first review whether your existing system can be serviced. If it cannot, we can discuss available alternatives separately.
